Sylvia Witte

Sylvia (nee Patrisso) Witte, 93, of Clifton passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, with her family by her side.
Born and raised in Garfield, she moved to Clifton in 1966 residing there since. Sylvia was an accounts payable clerk for Presto Lock, Garfield for many years before retiring. She was an avid bowler and bingo player and enjoyed going to the casinos.
She was predeceased by her husband, William DeVries, Sr.; daughter, Lorraine DeVries; parents, Dominick and Grace (nee Romalia) Patrisso; three brothers, Dominick, Nicholas and Daniel Patrisso; her son-in-law, Thomas Vernaleken; and her grandson, Stephen Vernaleken.
Her survivors include her son, William DeVries, Jr. and his wife, Laurie, of Clifton; her daughter, Claire Vernaleken of Woodland Park; two grandchildren, Devin DeVries and his fiancée, Linsay Ribe, Krista Miller and her husband, Jason; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Kylie Miller.
Funeral Services were private and under the direction of Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ.
