Teresa Pellegrino Joyce

Teresa Pellegrino Joyce, 81 of Woodland Park, formerly of Clifton, passed away on May 21, 2018. Born and raised in Passaic, Mrs. Joyce lived in Clifton for 45 years before moving to Woodland Park 11 years ago. She was a graduate of William Paterson College where she earned a degree in teaching. Prior to retiring in 1999, she taught in the Passaic Public School System for 41 years.
Mrs. Joyce was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton; a member of the Red Hat Society; the Clifton Board of Recreation from 1984 to 1990 and was a volunteer at the Hamilton House Museum in Clifton. More recently, Mrs. Joyce enjoyed playing cards and mahjong with all of her friends at the Four Seasons at Great Notch community.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Christopher "Tom" Joyce; her daughter, Maria Joyce Perry and her husband Scott of Denville; her son, Christopher Thomas Joyce, Jr. and his wife, Tina of Parsippany; five grandchildren, Krista, Jennifer and Sean Perry and Christopher and Matthew Joyce; one brother, Gerald Pellegrino and his wife, Connie of Meridale, NY; one sister, Yolanda Pellegrino Hansen of Cedar Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother and his wife, Henry and Irene Pellegrino; one sister-in-law and her husband, Mary Joyce and Ralph Nardella; one brother-in-law, Alfred Hansen; and a nephew, Gerald Hansen.
Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A Memorial Mass will follow on Thursday 11:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton.
