Vito R. Ossi

Vito R. Ossi, 90, of Clifton, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
Born in Clifton, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Ossi served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, he entered the U.S. Army for twenty-four years achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, he went to work in the heating oil industry. He worked at a few area oil companies retiring as a service supervisor at Amerada Hess, Little Ferry after over twenty years of service. Mr. Ossi was a member of American Legion Post 1000.
Mr. Ossi was predeceased by his wife the former Bianca Moratto; his parents, Vito N. Ossi and Odellia (nee Zanetti); and his sister, Janice Roehrich.
He is survived by one son, Ronald Ossi and his wife, Susan of Vernon; one daughter, Darlene E. Schilling and her husband, Robert of Wyckoff; two grandchildren, Ronald Ossi, Jr. and his wife, Jody and Kamryn E. Schilling; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Ossi and Liliana Ossi; and several nieces and nephews.
Entombment services will be 11:30 am Thursday at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ. Please meet at the Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. No services at the Funeral Home. Arrangements by Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013.
