Vivian Ekeman Obituary

Vivian L. (nee Cooper) Ekeman, 89, of West Long Branch, NJ, passed away on November 4, 2017. Born in Mound City, Kansas, Mrs. Ekeman moved to New Jersey after getting married. She settled first in West Caldwell, then Caldwell before moving to Little Falls where she resided for most of her life. More recently, Mrs. Ekeman has been living in West Long Branch. She found great joy in raising her four children. Mrs. Ekeman will always be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Ekeman was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred John "Jack" Ekeman, Jr. in 1996; her parents, Richard J. and Violet (nee Westover) Cooper; and her siblings.
Survivors include: her four children, John Richard Ekeman and his wife Donna, Jeanne Carol Chapman and her husband Scott, Marjorie Ann DeRosso and her husband John and Charles Cooper Ekeman and his wife Michele; ten grandchildren, Bill and Kyle Ekeman, Steven and Kevin Chapman, Kristen DeRosso Dawson, John Ryan DeRosso, Julia DeRosso, Jaclyn DeRosso, Cameron Ekeman and Delaney Ekeman; three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Jaxon and Alana Ekeman; one brother-in-law, Larry Henry; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Wiley, Katherine Bryant and Bernice Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Funeral services and sharing of memories will be held Thursday 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by an interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield.
