William Michael Zurey, 69, of Newark, N.J. passed away Mar. 30, 2018
at Columbus Hospital, in Newark, N.J.
He was born Jan. 2, 1949 in Passaic, N.J. to the late William and Esther (Breda) Zurey. He attended St. Stephen's School and Pope Pius H.S. in Passaic, N.J. and graduated from St. Mary's of the Plains College in Kansas.
He was a security guard and long distance truck driver who enjoyed his time off at Highland Lakes, N.J. fishing, hunting, and sailing with his family.
Preceding William in death are his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Jason Charles Zurey, (Melinda), granddaughter Maya Zurey and grandson Hunter Zurey, all of Orlando, Florida. Sisters: Ruth Slaton (Jerry); Edna Flaherty (Lawrence), and Irene Preuss (Richard) and extended family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Stephen's RC Church, 223 Third Street, Passaic. Interment of Ashes to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
